The composer, songwriter, actor and activist Sting has received ten Grammy Awards, two Brits, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and four Oscar nominations among other awards and honors. Throughout his illustrious career, Sting has sold nearly 100 million albums of his work combined with The Police and as a solo artist. After 57th & 9th , his first rock / pop collection in more than a decade, and released in 2016, Sting and reggae superstar, Shaggy will launch on April 20 a collaborative album with island influences under the title 44/876, which reflects the love of the duo for Jamaica: his music, the spirit of his people and the vitality of his culture.
Shaggy will join Sting on his summer European tour. The two great artists, both solo and together, will perform selections of their collaborative album with flavor on the island, as well as the fusion of their bands to explore their most famous achievements, such as “Every Breath You Take “,” Englishman in New York “” Message in a Bottle “” It Was not Me “” Mr. Boombastic “and” Angel.
